Who is Shawnnanigan?
Shawnn Morris Slaughter is multi-talented performer, actor, singer, dancer, comic, songwriter, television producer, recording and visual artist. I reside in Las Vegas, Nevada and am very proud of being a native-born and raised, second-generation, Las Vegan. "Theatre is my first love... film is my mistress." At the age of 10, I began taking acting classes and as a teenager, became an ensemble member of the nationally renowned and award winning Rainbow Company Children’s Theatre. In October 2011, I was cast in the premier Las Vegas production of Evil Dead the Musical, which ran in a venue off the Las Vegas Strip. The show moved to the Las Vegas Strip, running there from 2012 until 2017. I created and developed the maniacal zombie character of Doris Dead Zombie Diva exclusively for this production. This five year run created a most uncommon and extraordinary opportunity allowing me to create an unusual and unique if not quirky niche career. In 2013, I received a Broadway World Awards Las Vegas nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Musical. I later appeared in Evil Dead the Musical the HD Tour and hold the unofficial world record for having appeared in more performances of Evil Dead the Musical than any other actor on Earth. On camera,I have appeared in and produced short and feature films. I was an Associate Producer and Featured Cast Member in the sketch comedy television pilot, Flock of Meese. I appeared in a brief but creepy cameo in the horror feature, Party Bus to Hell. I was an Executive Producer for the horror film, Art of the Dead, in which I appeared in a evanescent and flirtatious cameo with actress Tara Reid, who I also appear on-screen with in the sci-fi flick, Attack of the Unknown, for which I was also an Executive Producer. I have been a puppeteer for the Las Vegas Family Puppet Theater. I have also run 12 marathons, worked as a substitute teacher, and am diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder; I am a 40 year survivor of HIV, and has been a public speaker on the issue to many diverse audiences. I hold an A.A. in Commercial Art from Community College of Southern Nevada, a B.E. in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College and an M.A. (ABD) in Counseling Psychology from Regis University.
